After a week of watching the countdown tick down, we were finally able to witness the monster take on the robot that was in the process of being built. Fortnite shut down other game modes to create The Final Showdown limited time mode. This game mode had the tagline: “Initiate Island Defense Protocol. Emergency hyperfuel jetpacks have been granted. The Chug Splash probably reminds you of the Chug Jug considering its name, but unfortunately it doesn’t help out quite as much. The Chug Splash is essentially like a stink bomb, but instead of reducing health it grants everyone in the area 20 health or shield per bottle. You pick up two Chug Splashes at a time and can stack up to six, which comes out to 120 total health....

We just witnessed what happened in the Season 9 event with the Robot defeating the Monster. The Robot left behind a large orb, which is still on the map and has many people suggesting it will play into the Season 10 reveal (more on that below). This event also left a brief map change with the remains of the monster left behind. We don’t know yet if those remains will stay on the map in Season 10, or if they’ll be gone by the time it comes around....

According to television station WSAZ (Huntington, W.
