The IRS has been sending out monthly payments to eligible parents since July to taxpayers who are eligible for the advanced Child Tax Credit. Congress’s passage of the American Rescue Plan, a $1.9 trillion relief package, increased the amount parents receive for the Child Tax Credit and enabled them to receive half their allotted sum in monthly payments. While many eligible taxpayers have been receiving the monthly payments since July, families who weren’t receiving payments could receive half their allotted credit amount in December if they signed up on IRS....

Trump gave an early morning press conference in which he stated that he is “on the road to victory” with him predicting that he will win states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia. Trump described the fact that he has not already been declared the winner as a “fraud on the American public” and an “embarrassment” to the country. Trump also said he will be going to the Supreme Court in order to stop the remaining vote counting, so any votes found at “4 o’clock in the morning” will not be found and then added “to the list....

The suspect who allegedly set the tree on fire was identified by the New York Police Department (NYPD) as 49-year-old Craig Tamanaha. He has been charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, arson, criminal nuisance - endangering others, criminal trespass, criminal tampering and disorderly conduct. According to WABC-TV in New York, Tamanaha has reportedly been arrested three previous times. WABC-TV reported that two of his previous arrests were for charges of drug possession and one was for a charge of public intoxication....

During his show, Special Report with Bret Baier, Baier showed a brief report from network affiliate Fox 31 Denver about the wildfires in the state as part of the program’s regular “Outside the Beltway” segment. The footage showed emergency vehicles trying to contain the fire which has raged in Colorado, causing residents to clog highways while fleeing and recently costing the lives of a couple in their 80s. “At least five people are unaccounted for in a huge wildfire burning in Grand County,” Baier said....

Though the survey found that the president’s approval remains in negative territory, his approval rating is the highest it’s been in a Fox News poll since January, when it stood at 47 percent.
