Officials say that the moose was apprehended in a parking garage in Lionshead Village Tuesday morning; however, the moose had been spotted several times in nearby neighborhoods throughout the past month. “Largely, most of these neighborhoods coincide with really optimal moose habitat, notwithstanding the fact, there are a lot of pedestrians and human activity,” Wildlife Officer Devin Duval said in an official statement. “Moose are not fully concerned with that, they usually are unencumbered by the activity here in Vail....

At Wangi Falls in Litchfield National Park, the 11-foot reptile was caught by the Crocodile Management Team from the Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife Commission. Wangi Falls is a popular swimming spot in the park but has been closed since this past October. This is because during the wet season traps and crocodile barriers are removed so they do not become damaged from fast-flowing water, the commission said in a statement....

Thwaites Glacier, which is larger than the state of Florida, is losing significant levels of ice from its ice shelf, which will contribute to rising sea levels in the future, according to the International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration. Scientists from around the world have been trying to get to it as part of a $50 million effort to study the glacier and its deterioration while it is still Antarctic summer, when it is easier to reach, the Associated Press reported....

The driver, Mohammad Anwar, fought against the two girls, who attempted to use stun guns on him, a witness told News4.
