But Manning’s teammate, Damon Harrison, did just that Monday on “Good Morning Football,” and he actually made some sense in the process.

Harrison brought up the basketball superstar as he tried to make a point about how Manning isn’t appreciated. The commentary came after Harrison was asked why his QB didn’t make NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2017 list.
Manning did have a slight drop in production last season compared to his previous years. He tied for 10th in passing touchdowns, was outside of the top 10 in passing yards, finished with the fourth-most interceptions in the league, and his QB rating placed him 22nd out of 30 eligible passers.
But to Harrison’s point, Manning has been mostly consistent, averaging about 4,200 yards since 2009. Most quarterbacks who throw for over 4,000 yards are considered to have had great seasons, but since it’s a dip in production for Manning, it’s seen as bad.
