Pierre-Paul injured his hand in a July 4 fireworks accident in Florida. Unconfirmed reports have said he suffered severe burns on his palm and three fingers, but the true extent of JPP’s injuries are not known.
The non-meeting is sure to set off speculation that the pass rusher’s injuries are more serious than initially reported. Schefter has noted that Pierre-Paul could miss training camp and the start of the regular season.
