How are you testing imaging technology in your own home? In my house we can sequence images both on these little LCD touch screens, and on big video screens. I’ll set it up to say, OK, sequence all the presidents, or sequence the Nobel Prize winners… I think Melinda did famous actresses in the living room. After we’ve been sequencing a set for three or four days we’re like, “Are you going to change that?”
Will you add to Corbis’s collection of 65 million images? We’ll still put in quite a bit, but it will be based on customer feedback, where we keep the history of all the things people query for. So if they are looking for armadillos, we tell our licensing people, “Hey, armadillos are hot.”
Are digital cameras ready to take over yet? The improvement in digital cameras has been pretty phenomenal… [but] in the next four years their resolutions do need to go up before you can say completely that digital dominates.
