From youngsters like Xander Bogaerts, George Springer, Gregory Polanco and Yordano Ventura to established studs like Ryan Braun, Adam Wainwright, Victor Martinez, Miguel Cabrera and Edwin Encarnacion, many of the game’s best players got the chance to introduce themselves to fans in this annual showcase.

This year’s rosters include a number of future fantasy staples and certainly a few studs as well. Some of the biggest prospect names we’ve discussed this season including 3B Kris Bryant and Joey Gallo, RHP Noah Syndergaard, and SS Javier Baez will be in action.

In addition to the “household” prospect names, fantasy owners should also make it a point to check out RHPs Lucas Giolito (Low-A, Nationals) and Robert Stephenson (Double-A, Reds), LHP Henry Owens (Double-A, Red Sox), SS Corey Seager (High-A, Dodgers), and 3B Renato Nunez (High-A, Athletics).

One exhibition game is unlikely to tell us anything to help our chances of winning leagues in 2014, but it’s still a great deal of fun to watch the future of the game on this type of stage.
