Former No. 1 overall draft pick Dansby Swanson, now with the Braves, will play shortstop for Team USA. He’s currently at Double-A Mississippi, batting .277 with six homers and 34 RBI in 69 combined High-A and Double-A games this season.

High-priced Red Sox import Yoan Moncada will be at second base for the World Team. Boston signed Moncada out of Cuba for $31.5 million signing bonus. He has a combined .306/.416/.490 slash line with five home runs and 38 RBIs at the same levels as Swanson.
Trevor Hoffman (U.S.) and Moises Alou (World) were named managers for the game, which will be played July 10 at Petco Park in San Diego to kick off the All-Star festivities.
