Maguire suffered the fracture late in the first quarter against Houston after a low hit on a pass attempt in the red zone. He landed awkwardly near the sideline and was soon carted to the locker room for evaluation.
The junior returned to the game with a large wrap on his left foot and ankle but looked dreadful on numerous pass attempts (he was intercepted four times overall) in Florida State’s 38-24 upset loss.
Maguire is set to undergo surgery this week and is not expected to participate in spring drills.
