The latest installment of the popular singing show began on September 21, with Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke back on the celebrity panel.
Long-time host Nick Cannon, who recently welcomed his 10th child, has also reprised his role.
The new format sees the celebrities divided into groups and competing within their cohort to be crowned King or Queen and make it through to the next week unmasked.
So far, William Shatner, Montell Jordan, Chris Kirkpatrick, Eric Idle, Jeff Dunham, Daymond John, and The Brady Bunch stars Mike Lookinland, Christopher Knight and Barry Williams have been revealed as the voices behind the masks.
In previous seasons only one contestant has been unmasked per week, but things have been switched up as part of the new format.
Newsweek has everything you need to know about the fourth week of The Masked Singer Season 8.
What Is ‘The Masked Singer’ Week 4 Theme?
The theme of The Masked Singer Week 4 is “Andrew Lloyd Webber Night.”
The famed British composer, who is the man behind musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera and Cats, will also join the celebrity panel as a special guest, helping his co-judges to try and work out the famous faces behind the costumes.
No doubt the performers will dive into Webber’s extensive back catalog for their song choices. The 74-year-old also wrote the music for Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Previous themes in this season of The Masked Singer have been “TV-Theme Night,” “Vegas Night” and “A Royal Season Premiere.”
In a preview clip for Webber’s episode, released exclusively to Newsweek, the musical legend can be seen discussing the identity of Mermaid with the other judges.
Webber guesses that the star could be Gloria Estefan, while Jeong believes the clues point to the performer being Cher.
Which Costumes Are Performing on ‘The Masked Singer’ Week 4?
The performers confirmed to be taking to the stage on Week 4 of The Masked Singer are Maize, Robo Girl and Mermaid.
Harp, who fans believe is Glee actress Amber Riley, will also perform as she is the reigning Queen, and has survived every week so far.
Still to come on The Masked Singer Season 8: Avocado, Beetle, Bride, Lambs, Milkshake, Scarecrow, Sir Bugaboo, Venus Fly Trap and Walrus.
The show’s executive producer, Craig Plestis, revealed ahead of the competition’s return that this season the costumes are actually clues for the identities of the performers.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “Especially for certain ones like Venus Fly Trap, that costume is a clue. This season, all these costumes, there’s a real reason why each celebrity is in each costume.”
The Masked Singer airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
