Miles released a statement this week through his attorney, Neal Lourie. Miles has been charged with giving authorities a false story when he was discovered with a gunshot wound to his arm.

Miles said this week he was diagnosed with clinical depression and anxiety and encouraged those showing signs to seek help. He thanked supporters and asked for privacy as he continued healing physically and mentally.

Miles gained for 1,341 yards from 2009-12 with South Carolina.
