The former poker champion did have his share of critics on the way he played the game, choosing to select from the middle to lower part of the board in hopes of hitting all the Daily Doubles … fact is, no one should be shocked that a poker player chose what he felt was the optimal strategy in order to dominate the game, which he did for six days.

The Chicago native, who now spends his days working as a currency trader, has won twice on the live poker tournament circuit, earning a total of $2,603,701 in his career. He has surpassed his Jeopardy winnings on four different occasions, including his career-best $878,500 score, winning the aforementioned 2006 USPC in Atlantic City.
