Former Penn State Players Critical Of Team James Franklin After Loss To Michigan State

Some former players joined in after Michigan State ran the Nittany Lions out of Spartan Stadium in a 55-16 win. That moves Franklin to 0-6 against Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State over the last two seasons.

Penn State’s best win under him? Probably at home against Illinois this season, or maybe against Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl last December.

Todd Blackledge, PSU’s quarterback on its 1982 national title team and a current analyst for ESPN, led the charge.

It didn’t stop there, although none of these three were directly critical of Franklin.

Sanctions have played a big part, but everyone wants to see tangible progress regardless, and we haven’t.
