The former UFC and Bellator MMA fighter has been held in the detention center since August as he awaits trial on 32 felony charges stemming from the alleged murder attempt of his ex-girlfriend Christy Mack.

On Monday, TMZ Sports published War Machine’s full suicide letter, which he penned prior to his attempt. In the letter, which can be read here in its entirety, he regrets his actions that caused injury to Mack but never actually apologizes.

He also questioned the motives of the defense attorney and said he would rather die than watch the women he loves take the stand and spew lies.

The most interesting part of the letter comes at the very end, where he blames society for the demise of man, and claims that he was never meant to live in such an era.

War Machine fought twice under the UFC banner following his appearance on the sixth season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” He most recently fought last October, losing to Ron Keslar via rear naked choke at Bellator 104 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He tasted defeat just five times over the course of his 19-fight career.
