The suit specifically accuses Jeff Wilpon, son of owner Fred Wilpon, of “fixating on the idea that Castergine would have a child without being married.”

According to the suit, when Castergine, a 2003 Penn graduate, complained to human resources, she was fired on August 20. She was senior vice president for ticket sales and service.

UPDATE: The Mets issued a statement later Wednesday. “We have received and reviewed the complaint. The claims are without merit. Our organization maintains strong policies against any and all forms of discrimination,” the statement read, per nj.com’s Mike Vorkunov.
