Williams joins two other former college coaches—Nolan Richardson and Eddie Sutton—as finalists. The other seven members include Tim Hardaway, Spencer Haywood, Kevin Johnson, Harley Redin, Mitch Richmond, Gary Williams, Immaculate University team and Alonzo Mourning.
The Class of 2014 will be determined on April 7, the day of the NCAA Tournament championship game.
Rick Pitino and Jerry Tarkanian were two college coaches that were part of the Naismith Class of 2013.
