Ouachita Parish Deputy Coroner Warren Lee confirmed Edwards’ death to the Baton Rouge Advocate on Sunday, though the cause of his death remains under investigation.

Edwards played for LSU from 2008 to 2012. He was a Louisiana native who went to Ouachita Parish High School before committing to LSU. He redshirted as a freshman and spent three seasons as a backup before being ruled ineligible as a senior in 2012.
His older brother, Eric, was a starter on the LSU team that claimed a national championship in 2003.
