Stidham decided to transfer out of Baylor in July, soon after the school’s sexual assault scandal — which cost former Bears coach Art Briles his job — hurt the school’s image. Instead of transferring to another school or a junior college program, Stidham remained in Waco while taking online classes at McLennan Community College.

Because of that decision, he will be eligible to play in 2017 and will still have all three seasons of eligibility remaining.
In 2015, Stidham completed 75 of 109 passes for 1,265 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also ran for 70 yards and two more scores.
Assuming all the paperwork checks out and his enrollment goes through, Stidham will likely start over Sean White next season.
