Versace never did anything quietly, and his spirit lives on as outrageously as ever. Months after his death the Miami home still draws ogling tourists. The obligatory TV movie and postmortem biography are in the works. In December the Metropolitan Museum in New York opened a Versace retrospective featuring the flashy designs worn by Princess Diana, Madonna and others of the rich and famous. But Versace’s billion-dollar name won’t become a museum relic. Earlier this year his sister Donatella’s first full collection opened in Milan to enormous success. Her big brother would have been proud.
