On Wednesday, four years after Kaepernick initially protested, six NBA teams decided that not playing their games that day was the best way to stand in solidarity with Jacob Blake. Denver restaurant owner Stephanie Bonin created the Change.org petition last year, which urges the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to deliver legislation that would provide families with a “$2,000 payment for adults and a $1,000 payment for kids immediately, and continuing regular checks for the duration of the crisis.” The petition has drawn over 2,760,100 signatures as of Saturday, with about 286,800 new supporters in the past month....

While the third round of economic stimulus payments were sent out to eligible Americans last year, some individuals who didn’t receive one may be able to file for it ahead of the April 18 tax-filing deadline. Additionally, some states have enacted legislation that will provide residents with more economic payments after their taxes are filed on Monday.
