Sulphur Police Chief Lewis Coats said Jones, a Sulphur resident, was shot Friday night at an apartment complex there by Brandon Winey. The 36-year-old Winey himself was an offensive tackle for LSU. Coats said the 24-year-old Jones went to the apartment complex to visit a woman and that Winey arrived shortly later to visit the same woman. A fight between Jones and Winey escalated and Winey pulled out a handgun and shot Jones in the abdomen, Coats said....
